Spending £210 to Fix a Problem Nobody Would’ve Noticed

In today’s Corpse Diary entry, I explain how I managed to spend a lot of time and a lot of money fixing flaws in a logo that, realistically, nobody else would’ve ever spotted. After my last experience working with an unfamiliar artist, I decided to go back to someone I’d worked with plenty of times before. He was reliable, easy to communicate with, and—crucially—not a thief. This time, I didn’t send a reference logo at all. I couldn’t be bothered going through that again and risking another copy job. A few days later, he sent over a sketch, and I genuinely liked it. It was simpler, more legible, and felt right. I approved it, got the finished logo back… and then immediately started noticing issues with balance and symmetry that I couldn’t unsee. After a redraw that still didn’t quite sit right, I turned—once again—to Fiverr.
